Photo challenge: show us your instant film photos

Last week, the legendary Polaroid SX-70 Land Camera celebrated its 50th anniversary. Launched in 1972, the camera represented instant photography at its best – and it remains highly regarded to this day, with a cult following.

In celebration of the Land Camera’s anniversary, this week’s Photos of the Day theme is an ode to all things instant, so get ready to give your submissions a retro touch!

This week’s theme

We want to see your best shots made on instant film. Whether you are Team Instax or Team Polaroid; square, rectangle, mini or 4×5, show us in pictures everything that makes you happy! After all, instant film is all about fun.

Maybe the fun for you is taking to the circuit to film a Formula Drift event, or maybe filming a rare and nearly extinct instant format. Either way, we encourage you to embrace the spontaneity and imperfections of instant film and get creative.

How to enter

To submit, use #popphotooftheday on Instagram or Twitter, or submit them to our Flickr group or (NEW!) Facebook group. There is no limit to the number of images you can enter, but be sure to only tag/upload your best shots. If you choose to join our new Facebook group, please accept the group rules and answer our simple questions. We can’t wait to see what you have!
